Auditions
Thank you for auditioning with BHS Jazz
Auditions have concluded for the 2026-27 school year. Thank you to everyone who auditioned! Students will receive jazz band placements with their class schedules before school starts. (Those not placed should have been notified in June 2026.) Inquiries about placements should be directed to BHS administrative staff.
Auditions for 2027-28 will take place in April of 2027. Information on signing up will be posted here in February and we expect signups to open in early March. Instructions on how and what to prepare for auditioning is provided when a student schedules an audition.
Come play with us
Berkeley High School currently has five jazz bands, plus numerous small combos. We play concerts at BHS, in the community—and even in Cuba! We welcome dedicated students of all ages to audition for our bands.
